An amazing band an amazing performance
I have known about these guys for almost two years now, and until last week I haven't had a chance to see them. It was beyond amazing. I mean they sound better and better each recording I hear - it's nice to finally see some other people getting interested enough to share their recordings. This is a solid tape, nice set list - but the audience is a little loud. There is a show that I was at on here now at Cousin Andy's that is a soundboard tap. Does a lot more justice to Grace's voice - but it lacked the intensity and spontaneity captured here. A great show, great sound - check these guys out if you haven't, you owe it to yourself.

The Blue Hit - Austin TX, based Folk Trio
If you ever find yourself fortunate enough to witness The Blue Hit live, do anything and everything to take that opportunity. A great field recording here brought to us by Sam, does a great job of capturing the essence of what it's like to be a part of the fam dam and get your Stinky, Gracie, and Demo on while in the middle of the woods. Old Settler's Bluegrass Festival + The Blue Hit + Team Goodtimes = Sweet Party! and a must have recording for any fan.
